Team Loyal was a member company in installation of a total of 1.2MW Grid connected Solar power plant at Himachal University, Shimla in January and February, 2019. The project was handed over to Jupiter International, which further distributed the work to a few companies including Loyal Technolgies Private Limited. The working conditions were quite difficult at Shimla, as we are basically from Sonipat and the amount of Oxygen in the air here is much better than at that altitude in Shimla. We started with the installation of a 60KW Solar plant at Boys Hostel building and finished the work within 40 days along with starting the installation work at another 30KW site i.e the Admin block. During the installation, we encountered various problems like snowfall, monkeys, low oxygen and lack of proper tools supplied by the program coordinator. However, with initial hiccups, the project was completed and handed over to Jupiter International within the time limits. We learnt a lot as a team there on how to manage tedious projects on higher altitudes. During the installation of Earthing strip at Admin block, we suffered from two accidents also, as one of our team member lost consciousness while working at third floor. Remember dear Solar partners/installers, while working at higher altitudes, oxygen supply is less and one must wear free clothes and intake healthy food in order to avoid such accidents.
