Recently, we have been listening a lot about Delhi’s odd even scheme and farmers in Haryana and Punjab burning crop remains in their fields that is understood as the main reason for smog in Delhi. However, we can not say that this is true. What we can study is smog’s effect on Solar power generation. The situation was worst in the first week of November i.e. after a few days of Deepawali festival in North India.
We called a few of our customers to know about the effect of smog at Faridabad(The most polluted city) and Sonipat(Most polluted city for one day i.e 29th Oct, 2019). We are sharing the solar power generation from these two Solar power plants having a total capacity of 10KW and 7KW respectively.

Even when our customers are aware and do cleaning regularly, the weather had harsh effects on total power generation from Solar panels. We believe that all Solar companies can use this data to share the truth and facts about smog effect during their initial commitments to solar customers in north india specially Delhi NCR to avoid any future conflicts.
