The most wonderful thing about owning Solar Power is- it’s source is free. To tap the energy initially does require us to buy Solar panels for converting photons to electricity, batteries to store power and inverter/converter to change the generated electricity into usable form. However, the source i.e. Sun is always available free of cost then after. At present, the costs have reduced to around ₹40,000/Kw for a Solar plant above 10KW Grid Tied system. However, soon there will be some portable, plug and play and DIY(DO it yourself) type Solar power plants in the market, which will help tap the Solar energy easily and anywhere. The expected cost for an all-in-one portable 1KW Solar plant will be around ₹ 70,000 including Lithium Ion Solar battery and AC output socket. These products will be lighter for easy portability, flexible for less burdensome transport and safe, as it can be packed and reused, as and when required.

This is a wonderful product that can give employment opportunities to many in distant villages like in Sonipat and other places in Haryana. A 1KWp portable Solar plant will be soon available in the market to power a drip irrigation based 1HP motor.
