First Grid Tied Solar plant

Solar Power is more affordable in 2019 !

When we started as a green energy company in 2014, we could learn from the market study that owning a Solar power plant was just like owning an Audi. The attitude of the customers clearly was oriented negative due to an excessive cost of generating own electricity from Solar panels. Also, off-grid Solar Power plants were easily available in the market as Grid Interactive Solar inverters were not yet introduced as per commercial point of view. Loyal Technologies Private Limited, installed it first grid interactive Solar power plant in December 2015 with a Schneider made Grid Tied 10KW Solar inverter at New Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi and got the first ever Solar net-meter through BSES-Yamuna Power Distribution at our site. Since then, the trend in the market has changed drastically along with a steep reduction in the total cost of Solar Power plant.

In 2014, when Solar power usage had started to boom, the cost of a 1KW Solar Power plant was around ₹ 1,20,000/KW with Battery for Off-grid Solar plant and ₹ 75,000/KW for a Grid Tied/Interactive Solar plant. Let us talk about today’s scenario. The cost of 1KW Off-Grid Solar plant with high quality products like tinned copper DC cable, MC4 Branch connectors and proper conduit in place and a set of C10 Solar batteries (That come with a 5 Years replacement warranty from companies like Okaya, Exide, Luminous etc.) is around ₹ 80,000/KW and that of a 1KW On-Grid or Grid Tied Solar Power plant, it is around ₹ 54,000/KW and it gradually decreases with an increasing plant size. For example, a 100KW Grid Tied Solar Power plant for industrial use today costs around ₹ 38,00,000/- and some companies might offer prices as low as ₹ 35,00,000/- for the same plant size also. We request our viewers/customers not to get confused here. An obvious question arises here- “Why I am getting different prices from different suppliers for same Solar plant?” The answer is- There are different Solar Inverter and panel manufacturers who include their brand names, product quality costs or after sale service costs in their initial product pricing. For a simple example, a 30KW Solar Plant, a Polycab made Solar Inverter costs around ₹ 40,000/- less than a ABB made Solar inverter of the same capacity. So, the customers must be offered a price band along with description of the product along in the quotations. This is the best way to keep the market healthier. So, before you give any final quotation to any Solar consumer, do offer him a variety in the products being used as well. This will help the consumer take a better decision as per his pocket. So, the Solar power cost has reduced in recent times to make it more affordable for the end user. All the Solar manufacturing companies, Solar EPC players must be thanked for this price reduction along with supporting Government policies. Thankyou for making Solar power more affordable. All the Solar power owners or consumers must be given the credit for being aware and supporting the Solar business in totality. Yours Truly-Loyal Technologies
